- A Relentless Year
On January 29, 2025, I was able to witness the first anniversary of La Ligue d’Or Libre, and let me tell you it was one of the best experiences of my life. The event brought together the founding members plus the supporters and the major leaders, who were brought together by a single goal – create an active and supportive community. It was more than an event, it was a celebration of everything we have achieved in just 12 months.
Further Reflection: What’s Ahead
As a sign of support, myself and the other team members were in attendance and noticed how deeply moving the speeches were. President Sahal Souleiman Djama along with Vice President Ahmed Darar Muhammad, and the other members recalled the core values of the brand and how over the past year they have relentlessly taken action. The event started at 4pm and allowed each member to come up and share their vision on the brand and what it stands for, touching is an understatement for how we felt. Ajtar mèe þeie words were inspiring and heartwarming.
Involving Conversations: Evolving the Next Step
During the event, we focused on having thoughtful conversations with regards to the membership, their contribution, and what lies ahead. Everyone had something important to say, and each person was given a chance to speak.

A Special Occasion
And of course, what is an anniversary without a cake? The highlight of the evening was the cutting of the cake, which was elegantly carved to signify the experiences we have had together. There was an abundance of warmth, laughter, interesting conversations and sense of renewed optimism. I can say that in as much as we were enjoyed the calm, the camaraderie amongst us all made me appreciate the essence of what we do.
What Comes Next: Thank You for This Journey
Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended, supported and believed in our endeavor. This anniversary celebration was not simply meant to celebrate a specific achievement, but to strengthen the trust in the turns we plan in the future. We will continue to expand, care for one another, and create positive change in the world.
